About Us

Our Vision

At the London School of Artificial Intelligence, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn about AI and its potential. AI is reshaping our world, opening doors to new possibilities.

Reflecting on history, we see how access to technology at a young age can shape futures. Microsoft founder, Bill Gates wrote his first computer program at age 13 because his school had early access to a computer when few others did. It ignited his passion and led to monumental contributions in the tech world. Apple founder, Steve Wozniak built his first computer when he was 13. Serial entrepreneur, Elon Musk sold his computer game Blastar at age 12. All of these individuals had access to technology at a young age, which shaped their futures and our world in profound ways. Those with early access to the Internet who knew how to code in the late 90s and early 2000s went on to redefine global connectivity, commerce, and our world as we know it today. We are on the brink of another opportunity through AI.

Schools are struggling to keep up with the pace of change. Budget limitations, high student to teacher ratios, and the challenges of evolving technology make it difficult to fully prepare students for the demands of tomorrow. A teacher teaching 25-30 children simply does not have the capacity to support those who are struggling keep up nor allow those who are excelling to reach their full potential.

Our vision is to safely and effectively put the power of AI directly in children's hands, preparing our kids for a rapidly changing workplace and world and allowing them to reach their full potential. By providing children with the skills to create their own personalized AI tutors, we're empowering them to direct their learning, think critically, and become innovators in the age of AI, filling a gap that schools are struggling to address.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure that as many young people as possible can access and engage with AI technologies and support their education through AI. We're building courses and technologies to put the power of AI directly in children's hands, allowing them to create their own personalized AI tutors. We believe that by equipping the next generation with knowledge and understanding of the power, potential, and pitfalls of AI, we can open up endless possibilities for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. The potential of AI is vast and still largely untapped, and we want to empower young minds to explore this frontier, shaping a future where AI is used responsibly and beneficially. Our goal is to inspire and enable a new wave of thinkers, innovators, and leaders who will harness AI to make a positive impact on the world.

We're building courses and technology to close gaps in education and help the next generation reach their full potential by making AI and AI-supported education accessible, engaging, and relevant to the world they live in.

Join us in shaping the future with AI.

About Our Founder

Prof. Michael Muthukrishna

Multiple award winning professor, software engineer, author and speaker

Our founder and educational director is a professor at the London School of Economics (LSE). He is an expert on education and how we learn and has spoken extensively on the topic in the media. In the article, you can read some of his thoughts about AI, its role in education, and its implications for the future of humanity.

Prof. Muthukrishna's vision for the London School of Artificial Intelligence is to make it a platform through which current and future school aged children are prepared for a world where we need to collaborate, working alongside AI. These advances in technology hold enormous potential for those who learn use them safely and effectively.

Prof. Muthukrishna has also spoken about AI disruption in the job market and how AI will continue to change the labor force and indeed how we learn. Our current education systems are not preparing our children for this future which will impact their ability and skills when entering the workforce. His views and insights reflect a balanced view of AI, recognizing both its potential and limitations, understanding the ethical implications of AI and emphasizing the importance of human cooperation and creativity in shaping a future where technology and humanity co-evolve toward a better future.
